Gay Alliance had an active summer, and plans for an active
Autumn.
A Halloween Party at Club Riverside, a "Summer White" party at Rudely Elegant, a trip to Scioto Downs, and a swim party at Eckel's Lake were highlights this
summer.
Bus transportation to the March on Washington, October
14, has been coordinated by Gayseries of workshops for gay men Alliance. Two plans were offered, one with overnight hotel accommodations, and one with an overnight bus trip for arriving the morning of the March.
Program meetings now alternate with business meetings in Gay Alliance's new schedule. The October 16 meeting will be a panel discussion about V.D., October 30 will focus on religion, and on November 13 "flaunting" will be the subject. A euchre party will be held October 20. is being sponsored by Gay Peer Services at the Open Door Clinic. Beginning October 16, six workshops will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursdays.
"These workshops are for men who have already come out, to help them expand their gay identity," explained Lee Balsar, Gay Peer Services staffer.

Alternatives meets second and fourth Sundays of each month, 7:30-9:30, at the Newman Center, 64 W. The Rev. Elder Troy Perry, Founder of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, will speak in Columbus November 7. He will participate in the Wednesday evening worship of MCC/Columbus, beginning at 7:30. He will be in Columbus as part of a tour of several MCC groups in the midwest. A hayride and cookout will be sponsored by MCC/Columbus October 27, at the Frontier Ranch, east of Columbus. Beginning at 6:00, this event promises to be an enjoyable evening.
